Vest Safety
what are osha's requirment for safety vests on a jobsite in arizona?
i need to know if when my dirt guys are workin do every person that passess inbetween them and the building have to wear vests or what i dont know where i can find this information i tried osha safety and health standards for construction industry but i found nothing but if we work near public traffic but it is not public traffic so how do i figure this out
Besides Fed OSHA, you may have State and local requirements as well as requirements by the customer's insurance carrier. So I'd put orange vests with reflectice stripes on all the ground crew that may work around moving equipment or vehicles. Get the lightweight mesa kind that are cooler and cheaper, but put them on everybody. Same with hardhats, safety shoes, eye and hearing protection as needed.
One bad accident will put you out of business and could land you in jail.
