Best dog treats for a dog with a chicken allergy?
Hey guys! My little chihuahua has a chicken allergy. She actually scratches until she's all scaby.
I love to treat my dogs, so does anyone have a suggestion for chicken free dog treats, for someone on a budget? It seems like everything I have has chicken in it.
My dog has allergies, too (lamb and eggs), so I feel your pain!
My favorite soft treats: Zukes, Natural Balance food rolls (can be cut into little pieces), and Wellness treats. Those all have limited ingredients, and are available at PetCo. If you want a crunchy biscuit, you could try Charlee Bears- I don't use crunchy treats, but I hear people rave about them, and they have limited ingredients, too.
Really, the trick is to read the labels a lot. Don't get anything with "meat by-products" or "poultry by-products" though because they could have chicken in them.
