Are all iridium lenses on the oakley custom A frame snow goggle page completely mirrored?
The fire iridium lenses are the only ones i know for sure that are completely mirrored, my brother has them so i don't want to get them. If they are not all mirrored which ones are?
All Oakley iridium lenses have some degree of mirror. The strength of the mirror and how readily one's eyes can be seen in some lighting conditions can vary, however.
Generally speaking, the lower the percentage of light allowed, the stronger the mirror. Polarized iridium lenses also seem to have a pattern of a stronger mirror than the non-polarized versions.
The strongest Oakley iridium I've encountered is probably the black iridium polarized, with the fire and ice polarized iridiums right behind it. These happen to be in the 9-10% range. The weakest is probably the current blue iridium. That happens to be at the 15% range and barely has a mirror, but it does look and function pretty darn cool otherwise.
Things like the VR28 black iridium and gold iridium also have mirrors, but they're a little weaker than the black, especially in the non-polarized versions. The VR28 black iridium polarized is my personal favorite lens, but I don't see it available on the A-frame.
The strongest mirrors on the A-frame would normally be the black iridium and fire iridium, with the gold then VR28 black iridium following. All are non-polarized though.
If you care about functionality over appearance, it might be worth looking at the polarized versions even though there don't appear to be iridium options there. The VR28 polarized would certainly be one I'd look into for a snow goggle, as the enhanced contrast and polarization should be pretty helpful with snow.
