how to carry bunny in a purse like a dog?
i want to carry my bunny around once in a while like people do with dogs and cats. what do i put in the bottom to soak up the pee? I am going to get a dog carrier for my bunny...just need suggestions to place in the bottom???
I used to have a Mini Lop Rabbit and we carried him around in a tote or purse. The best thing we found was place an old towel on the bottom of what you will be carrying him in. Next, place wood shavings. The wood shavings absorb urine.
Do not use cedar wood shavings or sawdust. Some rabbits get a reaction from them. So to avoid a problem just use wood shavings over an old towel. BTW, my rabbit was so affectionate and playful. We got him at 4 months old and since we treated him like a dog he acted like one. He sat on my lap (but be careful if he isn't trained). We trained him to use the litter box. He followed me everywhere and sat by my feet wherever I was. He even played hide and seek. It's amazing what aminals can learn at an early age and with our patience.
