Suede Pet

Does anyone have suede furniture AND pets?

I want to get this new suede couch but I'm concerned about whether furniture of this type is easily damaged. I have two small (9 lbs) dogs and they do jump on my present couch. I'm sure they''ll jump on this new one too. I'm just not sure how delicate suede furniture is. Help?

Hi there! I too have dogs who hog my couches My husband and I usually end up on the floor... try sharing a couch with Saint Bernards and Newfoundlands!!!

We have suede couches and I would highly recommend that you have them scotch-guarded. Keeps stains off, easier to clean, and more durable to every day wear and tear! Many furniture companies offer this for an extra $100 or so.

My dogs are large and I have never had a problem with tearing or pulling in the fabric. I am not sure where you are purchasing the suede couch from, but obviously it would be best to choose a better quality because your couch will be getting lots of use by the sounds of it!
