What is the difference between a car seat and a booster seat?
My daughter is 4 1/2 and she is 52 pounds. The car seat we have goes up to 100 pounds. Does that mean she can stay in there or does she need to move into a booster seat soon? I have no clue. Thanks
For you guys that think a booster seat is for when you go out to eat, y'all have issues. Do y'all have kids? Why don't you google booster seat and see what pops up..wow, what losers!
Okay-I have a 6 1/2 year old and we went through several car seats/booster seats. The last one we bought we have had since she was 5 and we still use it. Car seats generally have back support and possibly side and arm rests. Booster seats are usually just the bottom "booster" part to help them fit better into their seatbelts.
Whether you choose to have a car or booster seat depends on how comfortable your child fits into it. At 5, my child was too big to comfortably sit in the car seat and her arms were too long for the arm rests. If you're smart, you'll get a convertible car/booster seat where the back can detach once they reach a certain size so they'll be comfortable either way....hope I helped!
