Grooming Bandanas
Was her expectations realistic? Was the pay sufficient to all my job duties?
I was a dog bather and bathed 20 dogs a day. I also answered phones, booked appointments,made bandanas,washed towels,cleaned kennels, did reminder calls,and even did minor grooming, pads,nails,ears,brush, rounded paws ect. On about 6 or so. I got paid 8.00 dollars hardly got my tips. I did everything except major grooming! Started at 8 was done by 2 or so. My boss told me she expected more from me! In a very crappy way!!! so i quit. I am going back to the same field again and would like to know what to expect for pay, goals ect.
Well you are better of out of that one, she wanted a slave not an assistant. So put it down to experience that will now do you some good in your job search. Be honest with them and tell them you felt you were been used for a general dogs body and wanted more when you get an interview. Just look at all the experience you gained though, that is the plus side of this. I do not know what to tell you to expect as regards pay as I am in the UK and I see you use dollars. Here in the UK Almost all workers aged 18 and over are entitled to the minimum wage.
The minimum wage for those aged 22 and over is £5.52.
There is a lower minimum wage of £4.60 for those aged 18 to 21.
Freelance and temporary workers are entitled to the minimum wage.
Workers aged 16 and 17 (except apprentices) are entitled to a minimum of £3.40 per hour.
Workers' average pay must be at or above the minimum . Thats all in english pounds of course.
