How do you clean a Straw Grade8 Dress Hat?
I don't know whether to clean it with water, without water, solvent, sponge, soft cloth. It's a good hat and I've had it for about 5 years, however, on the underside there are some areas that need cleaned.
You can stick it into a bag with about 1/2-1 cup salt and shake shake shake. Takes dirt and debris away harmlessly. Also works for fake silk, plastic or fabric plants and flowers. If you are talking about sweat stains then you can't clean it cause liquid will cause it to mold.
