Clothes Yorkie
My dog -a yorkie- chew's metal, just metal, jewlery,zipper's out of our clothes?
we are fed up and cant find out how to stop this, we need help and i mean yesterday, she's 4 yrs old and i'm pissed, this been going on from day one,she knows its wrong but still does it, any ideas ?
It could be a deficiency in her diet, boredom or believe it or not, OCD.
Make sure she has plenty of other toys. A really good toy that keeps them occupied is a Kong. You fill it with tasty treats and the dog will work for hours getting the tasty treats out.
If she continues to chew metal, I would have your vet do a blood test to see where her blood levels are at. But you need to stop her immediately from continuing chewing on metal It can end up in her gut and cause major problems and one of these time she may even need surgery to remove the items.
I had a Chow that loved to lick anything metal. Sometimes dogs do the strangest things!
