Best way to travel with a cat?
I am taking a cat to my sister for Christmas. How can I plan to travel with this cat? I have a cage and toys but what if it starts meowing like crazy? Any suggestions? Any advice? 
I've traveled with a cat before but not this one. I am adopting it from someone near where I live, and then taking it to my parent’s house. It's about a 9-hour drive.
start taking it on short trips before the date.
also put the cat in the carrier/ cage for short periods of time before hand and then give a treat... this will show the cat it is not a horrible thing.
Then you will know how it is going to react.
You do not say how long a trip it is.
You can get some Valium from a vet.
or get some EMOTIONAL emergency at the health food store. (By Bach) which is for emotional upset.
COVERING the carrier will also help which will keep the cat calmer.
